Six Pack App
Six Pack App is one of the first apps I downloaded for my iPod Touch. This app features 125 exercises divided into 8 categories, has multiple photos for each exercise and contains descriptive exercise text. Six Pack App also allows you to record your workouts, keeps a history log to view past workouts, and has new nutrition, cardio and setting up a home gym sections.
Run Keeper Pro
Run Keeper uses GPS technology (the same technology that can track your car’s position) to track how far you ran, how long it took, what your pace / speed was, how many calories were burnt and the path you traveled. Sync your run with Run Keeper’s website to view a history of your runs, stats and post your results to Facebook and Twitter.
iFitness is a comprehensive exercise database, similar to Six Pack App. iFitenss includes videos of people doing the exercise, with full text instructions, the ability to; track your progress, create and track multiple users and workouts, email and graph your results, and includes a stop watch timer to keep track of your resting times.
iPump Pilates is a system of strength training and body toning. iPump Pilates features 63 Pilates images, videos (that require Edge, 3G, or Wi-Fi connectivity), and audio coaching that will target your core, challenge your strength and tone your midsection.
Shape-Little Black Dress
Shape-Little Black Dress helps tackle problem spots in a results-oriented way by getting firmer, stronger, sexier muscles from shoulders to calves – whether at home or at the gym. This app has 12 different routines targeting abs, lower body and arms and each routine contains instructional images, video and audio coaching.
Abs Diet Smoothie Selector
Abs Diet Smoothie Selector features 100 healthy smoothie recipes. Find smoothies based on your goals; pre and post workout, weight loss, breakfast, health booster, meal replacement and dessert smoothies. Each smoothie has nutritional information, photos and the ability to rate each one.
Eat This, Not That!
Based on the best selling book, Eat This, Not That!, this app is a great no-diet weight loss system. Track calories for over 13,000 menu items and 10,000 grocery products, swap food that will save you hundreds of calories, see the best and worst food in America, and compare foods to see which is healthier in the head-to-head comparison chart. This app will automatically sync if you are an iPhone user. iPod Touch users will have to connect to Wi-Fi and open the app for the sync to occur.
